The Legends and Hotshots do battle in Arizona as the AAF concludes it’s fourth round of games. Atlanta will be looking for their first win having been comfortably beaten in their first 3 games, while Arizona will look to move a game clear at the top of the Western conference.
It’s been a tough start for the Atlanta Legends, having faced arguably the leagues two best teams in their first three games. The schedule makers haven’t been kind to them as they head to Arizona for their third away game in just week 4.
Former Tennessee Vols QB Chris Simms has been mostly horrendous over the first 3 weeks with six interceptions, to just two touchdowns. He hasn’t been helped by an anaemic rush offence averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and zero touchdowns.
Defensively things haven’t gone much better for the Legends, who have forced just 3 turnovers, and five sacks. They have been on the field a lot due to the offense’s struggles, and late in games they have looked totally gassed. If the offense continues to max out at 12 points expect to see
Arizona, on the other hand, have got off to a much better start, winning their first two games, before suffering a reverse in Salt Lake last weekend. The Western Conference looks a little weaker at this point, but the Hotshots have a chance to move a game clear at the top with a win today.
QB John Wolford has got off to a good start with seven touchdowns through his first three games. He will need to cut down on his turnovers if he hopes to continue his winning ways, and potentially secure a move to the NFL.
Rashad Ross has been putting in some impressive performances, backed up by fellow wideout Josh Huff, and running backs Jhurell Pressley and Justin Stockton, the offense has put up a number of chunk plays.
It’s difficult to see anything other than an Arizona win in this game, with the Atlanta offence completely stalled out all season. Unless there is some major implosion on the Hotshots side of the ball, this should be a comfortable night.
