TJ Dillashaw is a cheater

Henry Cejudo dominated his short lived fight with TJ Dillashaw.

TJ Dilashaw is a juicer.

Earlier today, USADA informed the former Bantamweight champion that there were some irregularities in an in-competition test taken around the time of his fight with Henry Cejudo. Following this announcement, it was confirmed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission that Dillashaw would be suspended for one year, retroactive to the January 19th date.

There is a lot open to interpretation here at the moment, as neither the USAC or USADA are yet to confirm what Dillashaw tested positive for, however shortly after the revelation, he announced via Instagram that he would be relinquishing his title, and stepping down as champion. Not the response of an innocent man.

While it may appear to be a somewhat admirable gesture from the former champion, it is more likely he decided to announce he has vacated the belt before the UFC stripped him of it – something no champion wants to have happen.

This also isn’t the first time that Dillashaw has been accused of cheating, though it is the first time he has been caught doing so, former teammate Cody Garbrandt made a number of accusations in the build-up to both of their fights. It leaves a question as to whether or not this is what he meant.

It’s possible that this is the first time Dillashaw has ever taken a banned substance, and it could also be possible that it was used to aid in his weight cut, moving down an extra 10 pounds was always going to be a challenge. Either way, he deserves the ban if the results are true.

It ends what has been a slightly ridiculous saga too. The back and forth with Henry Cejudo over their ‘superfight’ was holding up both divisions, and with this ban, Bantamweight contenders can now move on and get their very well earned title shots.

Personally, I’m glad he is out of the picture. The man is a poor representation of a champion, he is a sore loser, and it has now been proven that he is a cheater. The division is better without him
