WWE ended the month with two very strong weekly TV shows in Raw and Smackdown. Both shows saw some great wrestling, and a few title changes on Monday night.

The OC all hold gold

The Revival put their Raw tag team championships on the line against The Usos and OC members Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a triple threat match. After a competitive 20-minute bout, Gallows and Anderson picked up the win after hitting their Magic Killer, and became two-time Raw tag-team champions. This result means they and fellow OC member AJ Styles are all champions, with Styles currently holding the United States champion. It seems heel faction domination is back in WWE, which can only be a good thing in my eyes.

Lesnar destroys Summerslam challenger

Seth Rollins was moments away from defeating Dolph Ziggler when The Universal champion Brock Lesnar stormed down to the ring with advocate Paul Heyman. With a small assist from Ziggler, Lesnar was able to get his hands on Rollins, and hit him with multiple F5’s onto a set chair. Rollins was being escorted out on a stretcher and was on his way to the hospital when Lesnar ripped him from the ambulance and slammed him onto an upside-down stretcher with an F5. Brock is at his best when he is destroying his opponents, and is still proving he has a draw in WWE.

WWE legend to return at Summerslam

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus appeared on Smackdown on a segment of King’s Court. She was soon interrupted by Charlotte Flair who stormed to the ring and challenged Stratus to a match at Summerslam. which she accepted. This match will pit two of the greatest female superstars the WWE has ever had, and will surely be one to watch on August 11th.

Champions go head-to-head

The main event of Smackdown saw WWE champion Kofi Kingston square off against US champion AJ Styles. Both men had their respected buddies at ringside, who soon started laying into each other. The finish of the match was very exciting as Kingston hit a Trouble in Paradise on Styles, countering a Phenomenal Forearm. This was a great end to Smackdown and solidifies Kingston as a strong champion.

Still need to catch up – here’s our roundup of the week before.
